In the liturgy of the Byzantine Christian churches the hymn to Miriam, the mother of Yeshua is called Theotokion. Miriam ("Mary") is called the Theotokos in koine Greek - meaning "God Bearer". This is not so much a song honoring Miriam, as it is about the "God-Bearer" in all of us.
